Guidelines for Acupuncture in NHS
Yoga is a self-help system that promotes mental and physical well-being and balance. Using yoga therapeutically in pregnancy is wonderfully supportive during this time of life transition. It helps you to adjust to the physical and emotional changes you are experiencing and can help you prepare you for birth and motherhood.
Yoga is a safe and gentle way to strengthen, tone and build stamina in your pregnancy while also promoting relaxation and a calm inner strength. Yoga postures are adapted especially for pregnancy with emphasis on keeping your spine in alignment and making space for your growing baby. Breathing exercises help to expand your breathing capacity, help you prepare for birth and support you in developing a receptiveness and connection with your growing baby.
Each class will include postures and flowing movements, breathing exercises and a guided relaxation, followed by time for tea and a chat. Jody’s classes are small and are held in the comfort of a peaceful private home.
